How do you define educational equity?

For me, educational equity is the fundamental principle that every student, regardless of their background, should have equal access to quality education and opportunities. It goes beyond simply providing the same resources or facilities to all students. Educational equity acknowledges and addresses the systemic barriers and disparities that exist, ensuring that every learner has the necessary support and resources to thrive and reach their full potential. It involves removing biases, creating inclusive learning environments, and providing targeted support to underrepresented or marginalized students.
