How do you define educational equity?

The educational environment should be inclusive where all students feel valued and respected. Educational equity is when all students are provided access to resources, individualized support, and opportunities to reach their full potential, regardless of their background, circumstances, or abilities. It works towards removing any potential barriers, such as language barriers, disabilities, or socioeconomic disadvantages to create an equal educational experience for all. It acknowledges the cultural backgrounds and identities of students in the classroom and incorporates diverse perspectives and experiences to reflect all students.
