How do you define educational equity?
I would define educational equity as how we as educators can find a way to help our students to reach their full potential by assisting them with the tools and resources that will allow them to be able to learn and thrive in their academic goals. According to the Education Weekly and other researchers, “Equity in education is when every student receives the resources needed to acquire the basic work skills of reading, writing, and simple arithmetic. It measures educational success in society by its outcome, not the resources poured into it.” So, the main objective as an educator is to provide the students the key elements in the learning process to reach their goals.
